Friesenstube in Sankt Peter-Ording

Highly recommended. The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but the food is simply great with very courteous service. They not only cook with love, but also with good, fresh ingredients. Keep it up!!

A very nice, quiet restaurant with delicious food and very nice service. Nowhere is a blaring screen with annoying music, no piece of furniture is from the standard franchise furniture catalog of any major restaurant chain. The Friesenstube still has individual charm, a restaurant, in a positive sense. It offers a clear daily menu, which is on a large chalk board. The food is good with no superfluous chi-chi. For me, this place is really the nicer place for the evening, better than the trendy restaurants in the village or in the baths. The service is very charming and it's quick, no trulla alarm. I like to go there on my next SPO vacation.

Food was mediocre and so were the portions. The service is a bit overwhelmed. With the mask requirement one does not get it so exactly.

We actually wanted to go to the FriesenECK, but I accidentally reserved a table in the FriesenSTUBE. A lucky coincidence. The inconspicuous exterior and the small menu are deceptive, because the food was really delicious - rarely eaten so well. As I saw later, the small, cozy restaurant has also received various awards. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The evening before I had requested a reservation for 7:00 p.m. - I was told that only the time slot between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. was free and that the tables would be fully booked after that. So far ok for me. When we stood in front of the door this evening at 6:30 p.m., we were cursed loudly and rejected by the obviously disgruntled innkeeper. I have probably misunderstood it - but from my point of view no reason to act outrageously towards a guest. That could clearly have been solved more professionally, especially since my telephone number was stored. We were just speechless.

Very cozy! Anyone looking for really good cuisine away from mainstream tourist gastronomy will find it here. Food and wine great! Service attentive and friendly.

A really excellent meal - freshly prepared, balanced in taste and served perfectly. This applies to both the fish variation and the leg of lamb - both highly recommended. We will definitely come back 👍. Even in corona times there are real highlights. Thank you for the great food and the nice evening.

It was a coincidence that we landed here and were very pleasantly surprised. It was a lucky hit. We were a whole week in Sankt Peter Ording guest and except Tuesday and Wednesday (there is unfortunately day off) for dinner in the Friesenstube. Here not only people are made completely happy but also the fur noses brought along. It was like we knew each other forever. The landlady and her service were warm and the food a dream. However, you should book a table, the Friesenstube is also very popular among the locals. By the way, the landlady's cook and husband has written a great cookbook that you can buy here. Anyhow, I'll do some cooking.

Food like grandma. Very familiar restaurant, friendly staff. Delicious food, fresh and regional cuisine. Price performance is right. You can definitely eat really good.

Small, cozy restaurant with local (fish) dishes and changing weekly menu. A reservation makes sense because of the limited space available.
